Monday, February 8th, 2010

Table and floor lamps constructed using repurposed items.  Steve Bewley has been hard at work for over ten years developing his line of unique lighting.  Here at Fiona Bleu gallery you will always find new and unusual lighting freshly spawned from his studio here on the Central Coast.  Stop by the gallery or pick one up online at  Get one for your home and you will soon see why they have become so addictive for many of our customers.  As always we appreciate all of the support that has enabled us to expand the gallery so much and now with our online shopping the gallery can be revisited even when you can’t make it to the coast.   -  Thanks, Rowan

Our focus is on design that goes one step further to be tasteful and different while maintaining practicality and functionality. Modern-twist is a collaboration between Kat Nouri and an extremely talented group of independent designers (mostly from the San Francisco Bay Area) who share a passion for clean, minimalist design. The products are interesting to the touch, playful to the eye, and versatile in use. Drawing on the diverse culture of the San Francisco area, some of the designs have been inspired by traditional objects. The idea is to create products with modern means, using materials or objects in a new way, often combining industry with nature and giving the products an organic feel. Modern-Twist brings a clean, versatile aesthetic to the home. With a background in U.S. manufacturing, Nouri strives to manufacture Modern-twist products responsibly. Sustainably Beautiful Jewelry by Jennifer Dawes-Chase

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

Jennifer Dawes lives in rural Northern California where she has distilled her knowledge of metalsmithing into an exquisite line of jewelry. This versatile collection can be mixed together to create a contemporary playful look while keeping to a classical ideology. Each piece is handmade, fabricated and finished at Jennifer’s studio in the coastal hills of Sonoma County, California.

Jennifer just recently launched Sustainably Beautiful, her initiative in creating jewelry in a socially and environmentally responsible way. She only uses recycled gold, conflict free diamonds and responsibly mined stones. “I try to leave as small a footprint on this planet as possible.”

Dawes Design is a “slow business” where everything is made locally and sourced using sustainable businesses that use recycled products.
